Updating the firmware of the cameras also resolves an issue that reduced the docking and navigation performance of MiR robots.
The 3D camera laser emitters turning off randomly
The 3D cameras have a laser emitter module that improves the quality of the camera 3D data. Sometimes, the laser emitter module turned off randomly, which could negatively affect the robot's navigation and docking performance. This has now been solved by updating the camera firmware. Restart the robot after updating to make sure the firmware update is applied.
